The Solar System

Billions and billions of years ago, a very huge star passed by our sun. A very large part of the sun broke and was knocked away. It broke and one piece was the earth .Eight other planets, like our earth, came out from the same large part of the sun.
As our earth came out from the sun, so did the moon came from the earth. The moon is a satellite and moves round the earth. some other planets, too, have satellites.
The sun, the eight planets and all the satellites form a family. The family is called the Solar system. In the system, the sun is in the centre and the planets move round it and the satellites go round the planets.
The sun has great gravitational power. This power keeps the planets, satellites and other heavenly objects in the  solar system moving round the sun. The sun sends its heat and light to the whole system.
The nine planets of the solar systems are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The farther  the planet is from the sun, the less hot it is.
